About us

Support that helps students do their best work

Oxford Helpers is an independent academic support service for students at UK colleges and universities. We help you understand what’s being asked, plan and write your own work, and get honest feedback before you submit.

Who we are

University work asks a lot: independent research, unfamiliar conventions and tight deadlines, often alongside a job or caring responsibilities. Many students only need a little guidance at the right moment to unlock their best work. We provide that guidance one-to-one, in plain English, with feedback tied to the criteria you’ll actually be marked against.

We’re deliberately clear about our limits. Writing work for students to submit is a criminal offence for providers in England and puts students’ degrees at risk, so we don’t do it. Everything we offer, from tutoring to proofreading, is designed to sit within UK academic integrity rules.

Our mission

To make good academic support easy to find and safe to use: support that raises the quality of your work and your confidence, and never puts your studies at risk.

Oxford Helpers is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the University of Oxford or any other university, college or awarding body.

How we work

Our principles

Integrity first

We only offer support that is compatible with UK academic integrity rules, and we explain where the lines are.

Plain-English feedback

Comments you can act on, tied to your marking criteria, rather than vague praise or red ink.

Honest promises

No invented reviews, guaranteed grades or countdown discounts. A fixed quote and realistic timelines.

Privacy by default

We collect the minimum we need, keep it secure and delete it on a schedule.

How it works

Our four-step process

  1. Step 1: Tell us what you need

Send the enquiry form or a WhatsApp message with your subject, level, deadline and the help you’re looking for.

  2. Step 2: Talk it through

We ask a few questions, check your course’s rules on outside help and recommend the right type of support.

  3. Step 3: Agree a fixed quote

You get a clear price and timeline before anything starts. No obligation and no hidden extras.

  4. Step 4: Get support and feedback

Sessions or written feedback delivered on schedule, with follow-up questions answered.

Students we’ve helped

In their words

“I had done the research, but bringing my dissertation together felt overwhelming. OxfordHelpers helped me spot gaps, organize my chapters, and strengthen my referencing. Their clear, practical feedback made the revisions manageable, and I finally felt confident about submitting my work. The result was a polished, thoroughly researched dissertation with clear arguments and careful referencing, and I couldn’t have been happier with the outcome.”

George MSc student

“With my deadline approaching, I needed more than a quick spellcheck. OxfordHelpers picked up unclear wording, inconsistent references, and mistakes I had overlooked. The editing was thorough, communication was straightforward, and I submitted on time without losing my own voice.”

Alia PhD scholar

“I understood the topic, but my essay wasn’t making a convincing argument. OxfordHelpers helped me see where my reasoning needed work and how to connect my ideas. The explanations made a real difference, I finished with a stronger essay and a better understanding of how to approach the next one.”

FAQs

Questions about working with us

How do I get started?

Send an enquiry using the form or WhatsApp with your subject, level, deadline and what you need help with. We aim to reply within one working day with a few questions or a fixed quote.

Will you write my assignment or dissertation for me?

No. Writing assessed work for students to submit breaches every UK university’s rules, and providing that service is a criminal offence in England under the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022. We help you produce your best work yourself, through tutoring, feedback, proofreading within policy and methods coaching.

Is proofreading allowed by universities?

Most UK universities allow third-party proofreading that flags spelling, grammar, punctuation and formatting, but not changes to content, argument or structure. We follow those limits by default, and your institution’s own policy where it’s stricter.

How much does it cost?

Prices depend on the type of support, your level and the length of the work. We’ll send a fixed quote before anything starts, and you’re under no obligation to go ahead.
