Academic integrity policy

Everything we offer is designed to help you produce your own best work, never to produce work for you.

Our commitment

Academic integrity means the work you submit is your own and fairly represents your knowledge and skills. We take that seriously because your degree depends on it, and because good support should make you more capable, not more dependent.

The law in England

Under the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 (sections 26 to 28), it is a criminal offence to provide, arrange or advertise, in commercial circumstances, a service of completing all or part of an assignment on behalf of a student in England, where the assignment completed in that way could not reasonably be considered to have been completed personally by the student. Every UK university also treats submitting work produced by someone else as academic misconduct. We do not offer such services in any form.

What we do

  • Tutoring: explaining concepts, theories, methods and marking criteria in one-to-one sessions.
  • Planning support: helping you break down a brief, plan a structure and manage your time.
  • Feedback: written comments on drafts you have written, explaining what could be improved and why, for you to act on.
  • Proofreading: flagging spelling, grammar, punctuation and formatting issues within the limits below.
  • Methods coaching: helping you choose, run and interpret your own analysis on your own data.

What we never do

  • Write, rewrite, paraphrase or complete any assessed work, or any part of it, for submission.
  • Sit, or help during, tests, quizzes or exams, or log in to university systems on a student’s behalf.
  • Collect, invent, alter or analyse data on a student’s behalf.
  • Use generative AI to produce content for a student’s assessed work.
  • Comment on or edit school or college assessments that a teacher must authenticate (see below).

Our proofreading standard

By default we follow the limits common to UK university proofreading policies. We identify spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting and consistency issues and flag unclear sentences for you to rewrite. We don’t add or change content, restructure your work, correct factual errors or rewrite passages. Changes are suggested using tracked changes and comments, so you make every decision. If your university’s policy is stricter, we follow it; send it to us before we start.

A-level, GCSE, BTEC and similar qualifications

Non-exam assessments and coursework for these qualifications must be authenticated by your teacher as your own work, and outside help with the assessed piece can be treated as malpractice. For these qualifications we teach subject knowledge and skills only, and we do not read, annotate or suggest content for the assessed work itself.

Declaring support

Some universities ask students to declare proofreading or other support. If yours does, we’ll give you a short, accurate statement describing exactly what we did.

Requests outside this policy

If we’re asked for something we don’t do, we’ll say so clearly and suggest the support we can offer instead. We may decline or end any arrangement that would breach this policy.
